1. All Organisers are required to submit proposals by the stipulated deadlines.
  2. The proposals must be in English.
  3. The subject areas of the proposals should be intended for the general statistical audience rather than for specialists in the particular topic.
  4. The proposals must be submitted via the submission system on the 62nd ISI WSC 2019 website.
  5. The proposal must include the following:
    1. title of the proposed session;
    2. details of Organiser(s), including title, name, organisational affiliation, e-mail address, name of city and country of residence;
    3. description of the session (150-200 words);
    4. possible collaboration with another affiliate;
    5. proposed Chair, who must not be a Speaker;
    6. proposed invited Speaker(s); and
    7. proposed Discussant(s).
  6. The description of the proposed session should explain why the proposed session is of interest to or need of the 62nd ISI WSC 2019 attendees, statistical community, and international groups. The description should also include the expertise of the proposed Speakers and Discussants.
  7. Abbreviations should be spelled out in full the first time they occur (Example: The properties of maximum likelihood estimators (MLEs) are developed. The small-sample performance of the MLEs is studied through simulation.)
  8. Double check for scientific accuracy as well as for clarity, proper grammar and punctuation in the proposals.
  9. If the proposal is accepted, the Organiser must ensure that the proposed session participants (Chairman/Speaker(s)/Discussant(s)) have given their agreement to be present at the 62nd ISI WSC 2019.
  10. Proposals that do not follow the guidelines may be rejected.
